Summer Spoil
Summer spoil was good but a little too sweet. Yes I know it's a chocolatier so yes it's going to be sweet. Guess I'm losing my sweet tooth slowly.... It compromises of a mango and vanilla sorbet, chocolate mousse, two paralines (caramelised coconut and passion), passion fruit marshmallow and white chocolate and lime delice.
Photo following is what my friend had...

Tao
860 Albany Hwy
Victoria Park, WA
Tel: 93611100
Tao is a new restaurant that has recently opened up in Victoria Park (Okay... Not that recent...). They serve up a range of Asian cuisine; Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese.
The restaurant itself was really well done up. There is a train train that runs in the middle of the restaurant. The menu was a little confusing and really hard to choose with all the different kinda of cuisine available. The food was a little bit of hit and miss.
Good: Crab Claw Meat
Bad: Scallop Salad
Ugly: Com GaChien Don

QQ Cake
It's Boxing day!! So what's the best way of spending it? Shopping in the city. When we are in the city, we always go by this store in Carillion City. I think it's called Takoyaki.
We always buy this pancake like thing called QQ Cake. What it is is basically pancake mix in a mould that has a lot of egg shapes, kinda like the dutch pancake but two sides put together. When hot, it's nice and crispy so make sure you eat it while it's hot!!

I've got the hots for what's in the box with the dots...
Today we had Domino's for afternoon tea.. I decided to try the new hotdog crust pizza.
The hotdog pizza was a little bit of a disappointment but I guess it was expected. It was just a really long hotdog or lots of small hotdogs in the crust. In the box was the pizza and two masterfoods squeeze containers, that was not enough for the whole pizza.
I just hope that no one else was as excited and as disappointed like me.. =[[

PASTA in a CUP
We manage to buy a voucher from scoopon for Pasta Cup. This voucher was for $15.95. This included two large serves of pasta and one serve of garlic bread.
We had Squid Ink Fettucine with Bonny Sauce and Three Cheese Ravioli with Atlantic Salmon Sauce and Garlic Bread.
This was the first time trying Squid Ink Fettuccine. Surprisingly, it was delicious. There was a bit if after taste at first but after a while you kind of don't notice it. The Bonny was made out of tomatoes cream and sun dried tomatoes. Together they tasted really good.
Osmond had the Three Cheese Ravioli with Atlantic Salmon. This was what I ordered the last time so... Look at who's the awesome one with the awesome choices... This was really good. The Atlantic Salmon sauce was made with cream, smoked salmon pieces, capers and spinach. You could really tasted the smoked salmon and if Osmond liked it enough to order it... You know that it's got to be good.
The garlic bread was really good. It was crispy and delicious. Although... The only question I had was why did I get less slices of garlic bread compared to the last time... Weird.
Overall, this was really good. I bought two of these vouchers so the next time we're going to try some different pasta with different sauces...

Brining back the memories...
Today we went to Bintang Cafe in Victoria Park. This is one of our favourite spots to eat.
We ordered Mie Ayam Jampur with Bakso, Nasi Goreng Special, Es Campur and Teh Terik.
Mie Ayam Jampur with Bakso is something we always order when we eat there. It has noodles, chicken, mushroom and vegetable. This is similar to the Kolo Mee at Kitchen Inn Cafe. It comes with soup in which the Bakso sits in. Bakso is basically beef balls. This dish is the bomb.
Nasi Goreng Special is something new that we've tried this time. We've always seen people buy it and always leave food behind but it looks yum. So we tried it this time and man is it good. It consist of fried rice, four pieces of prawn crackers, two chicken satay sticks and a big scrambled egg on the top.
Es Campur is Ice Kachang for those who know it or simply Shaved Ice with Fruits and topping. I, myself, am not a big fan of this. I remember in my younger days order this dish without any of the fruits. Yes, I know. Isn't that just flavoured shaved ice. Yes it is and I love it that way. This Es Campur had jackfruit, palm seed, grass jelly (Chin chao, that's probably not how you spell it...) with rose syrup and condensed milk as the topping. Missed out on taking a photo is this one. I think we got too excited (I just had the ice, while Oz had the rest).
Teh Tarik. What else can I say? Yum. For those who are unsure. It's simply Ceylon tea with milk that has been poured from one jug to another until bubbly. This is a very famous Asian tea drink.
Not sure what's going to be on our tables that next time we go... Maybe we shall try something else again or stick to the same thing.
