Jaws Hay St
Felt like sushi... Some Japanese... So tossed up between Pink Rice in Freo and Jaws in the city... And surprise surprise... Where did we go....?
Had a range of sushi which were all awesome. We also ordered a chicken udon which was good but not enough chicken!!! There was only three chunks of chicken. And they were all only about the size of your thumb or smaller. Disappointed with that but otherwise it was yum. =]]

Maya Masala
Garden City
Riseley Street
Booragoon WA 6154
So disappointed with this place....
So I ordered Chana Bhatura... Man... Wasted my money... I was so excited to see that they finally had a place which served my favourite Indian food. Chana Bhatura is a cripsy ballon that is filled with air. Think pie crust but crispy. What I got was nothing it what it should have been.
What I got was a flat thick doughy thing. If you searched up chana Chana Bhatura, you should see the first photo. So then compare it to the second photo...
A big thumbs down and lots of boo...

QQ Cake
It's Boxing day!! So what's the best way of spending it? Shopping in the city. When we are in the city, we always go by this store in Carillion City. I think it's called Takoyaki.
We always buy this pancake like thing called QQ Cake. What it is is basically pancake mix in a mould that has a lot of egg shapes, kinda like the dutch pancake but two sides put together. When hot, it's nice and crispy so make sure you eat it while it's hot!!

Brining back the memories...
Today we went to Bintang Cafe in Victoria Park. This is one of our favourite spots to eat.
We ordered Mie Ayam Jampur with Bakso, Nasi Goreng Special, Es Campur and Teh Terik.
Mie Ayam Jampur with Bakso is something we always order when we eat there. It has noodles, chicken, mushroom and vegetable. This is similar to the Kolo Mee at Kitchen Inn Cafe. It comes with soup in which the Bakso sits in. Bakso is basically beef balls. This dish is the bomb.
Nasi Goreng Special is something new that we've tried this time. We've always seen people buy it and always leave food behind but it looks yum. So we tried it this time and man is it good. It consist of fried rice, four pieces of prawn crackers, two chicken satay sticks and a big scrambled egg on the top.
Es Campur is Ice Kachang for those who know it or simply Shaved Ice with Fruits and topping. I, myself, am not a big fan of this. I remember in my younger days order this dish without any of the fruits. Yes, I know. Isn't that just flavoured shaved ice. Yes it is and I love it that way. This Es Campur had jackfruit, palm seed, grass jelly (Chin chao, that's probably not how you spell it...) with rose syrup and condensed milk as the topping. Missed out on taking a photo is this one. I think we got too excited (I just had the ice, while Oz had the rest).
Teh Tarik. What else can I say? Yum. For those who are unsure. It's simply Ceylon tea with milk that has been poured from one jug to another until bubbly. This is a very famous Asian tea drink.
Not sure what's going to be on our tables that next time we go... Maybe we shall try something else again or stick to the same thing.

A little bit of Asia
Had lunch at this place before but didn't post it up and it was about 3 months ago now... Kitchen Inn Cafe opened up not too long ago, within the last six months, at Thornlie Square Shopping Centre.
We took Oz's mum along this time too. We ordered Teh C, Three Flavour Sour Plum and Chrysanthemum Tea for our drinks. As for food, we ordered Kolo Mee, Kampua Mee, Sarawak Laska and Braised Pork Belly Rice.
The drinks were good. Except we weren't asked if the drinks ordered were to be hot or cold. Sad. I know. The Teh C had sooo much ice in it. Not kidding about 4 tablespoons full of ice. Three flavour sour plum was really good. Sour but there were small sweet bits in the drink. Mmmm... Chrysanthemum Tea was just like Chrysanthemum Tea
Kolo Mee!! By far the best dish at Kitchen Inn Cafe. The dish came with noodles, BBQ Pork and minced pork. The dish has some sauce at the bottom that you need to mix everything all together. Yummm...
Kampua Mee. What is really is, is just BBQ pork noodles cause that's just what you get. Noodles and BBQ pork noodles. But... Wait for it... With special soup!!! Lol.
Sarawak Laska was apparently not great, just eh... Everything seemed a bit mushy and plopped together. Not sure I'd order that. But as we were told by Oz's mum.. We're not ordering that again. Guessing it's not good?
Braised pork belly rice came with Choy Sum and salted duck egg as well. The braised pork had pickled green mustard which tasted like eating straw... Too many hard chewy bits.. The salted duck egg was not salty as the name implies... Weird... The rice was super hard...
Next time.. I think we'll order the Kolo Mee... =]]

Cake Time!!!
That's right!!! Cake time!!! This time it's The Cheesecake Shop's Boston Mudcake.
It's a really dense chocolate rich cake which is soooo good... The cake has a nice smooth cover of chocolate on top of the rich chocolate mudcake.
I would suggest to everyone to have a tiny taste of it or the whole entire cake.. =]]

The moment I've been waiting for!!!
Finally!!! Dinner at Hog's Breath!!! Haven't been there for over a year and the food still look amazing but not sure about the taste...
Had cheese sticks with jalapeño jelly as an entrée and its was yummylicious!!! The jalapeño jelly was not hot but just right. Now... I just need to find the recipe... =]]
We ordered the mixed grill tower for two. This consist of 2 baby back ribs, 2 sirlion steaks, 4 lamb chops. It was not as great as I remembered but it was still good. The curly fries (which I remember as always being my favourite) was surprisingly not as awesome as I remembered. And this is from a person who always asks to go there just for their curly fries.
Not sure whether it was my change in taste or the restaurant.. But I hope my next visit can remind me again of my first visit to Hog's Breath...
